About Me

If God is for you, Who can be against you? - Romans 8:31

Hey you….yeah you! Welcome to my website! My name is Amber Patrice Coleman, and I am an actress, singer, and dancer based in Washington DC. I use she/her and she/they pronouns. I am an artist who is deeply committed to creating work that uplifts marginalized voices and challenges systems of oppression especially in spaces where those conversations have historically been ignored or silenced. I care about telling bold, inclusive stories and working with collaborators who value meaningful, community-rooted work. Also as a Black, dark-skinned woman, I’m passionate about being the representation I rarely saw growing up—bringing depth, softness, and complexity to roles that challenge stereotypes and center truth.

My Story

I fell in love with theatre at a young age and have been performing ever since. From performing in the choir at church to being onstage in various productions, theatre is constantly on my mind, and I love storytelling. I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, and graduated from the University of Florida's Acting MFA program in May 2024. Along with serving as a theatre educator and being an ambitious artist, I enjoy playing video games and aim to pursue motion capture performances in the future. I also hope to expand in TV/Film. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy exploring my website!
